It’s the largest blogging convention on the planet and it reaches nearly 100 million people around the world each year. Last year, more than 280 speakers and 15,000 attendees were present for BlogWorldExpo, “the first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of new media including: Blogging, Podcasting, Social Media, Online Video, Music, TV, Radio, Gaming, Entertainment and Communities.” And yet, I’ve somehow been invited to come and speak at the event!

Along with my partner in crime, Troy, I will be taking part in the “Getting the Picture: What’s Next for Milblogs?” panel along with some familiar names: Blackfive, Scott Henderson, and Scott Kesterson!

This is also the first year in which there is full Milblogging tract. Some other panels include “They Also Serve: Spouse Bloggers”, “Best Milblogs You’ve Never Read”, and “Milblogs: Not Your Standard News Source.” Greyhawk, Jarhead Online, Old Blue, and Tammy Munson are just some of the great panelists invited to speak at the Expo.
