I am so glad that I found your site, just wish I would have found it sooner! I too am taking my case as high as I can, faxed a letter to President Obama the other day, don’t know if I will get a response, but figured I had to go as high as I could to let him know that our own US agencies will not do anything to help crack down on these scum bags. Next stop…radio and TV…

I’m talking to a Captain Tom Hilton Curtis who is at this time deployed in Kabul Afghanistan.He has not asked for any money yet but I can see it coming,because in the video i saw one of the pictures he sent to me.If anyone knows a Captain by that name please let him know his name has been used.I met the guy on chemistry.com can’t believe they used that site too.But thanks a lot,this video just open my eyes.

Okcupid.com is where I was contacted by a scammer this guy is using the name Alexander James. He told me he was a Major in the Military, when I asked him which branch he said 8 Victory. Any/All Majors I know are sure to know that wasn’t the correct response. I myself am a volunteer for the U.S. Marines, I knew he had no clue what he was talking about from his email and was suspicious. Only after talking to him for about a week, he told me if he was to come home on a “transit leave” it would cost only 4,000 and 10,000 the 2nd time all refundable once he arrived in the States. I google “transit leave” as he was instant msging me and revealed to him instantly that there was no such thing as a “transit leave”, I responded to this guy that he was a scammer he told me that brought a “tear to his eye” I responded you ought to be ashamed of what you are doing. I can’t imagine a Major in our military being so so sensitive to someone they have never met, not to mention the poor grammar and sentence structure the scammer used in his email and/or i.m’s. I only hope and pray that this type of scamming stops. My son is a vet. and served our Country with pride.

Hi, C.J. i was just watching your video and the navy seal that i was talking about his in those pictures… it’s the solidier with the name tag on it as LOPEZ… standing with a taliban …..he’s is the soldier that their using by the name michaellopez@globomail.com….PLEASE, if you find anything else on this person let me know,,, and if you need anything else i have names, also a check that he send me , addresses and etc….Because the same thing happen to me,,, i fell for him too…And i was betrayed….

Re Troy turner it turns out the ip address from his e mails are from Nigeria . He claimed to be stationed in Kabul afganastan, widowed after a car accident with one living son. I met him through zoosk along with 2 others that I believe are also scammers but notclaiming to be military soldiers I’m going to delete my zoosk profile!

I have been chatting with Troy David Turner for the past 6-8 weeks. He sent me flowers, he wooed me over and over. He sent me pictures, certificates, bank statement from California, birth certificates , etc. I fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Then he wanted to send me a check from his fathers estate in Malaysia for $3 00,000.00 to hold until he retires on the 21st of this month. but he had to have $825.00 to send it by DHL. Then after that he told about these trunks that his dad had with 2 million dollars of gold and jewelery in them that he needed to get out of Malaysia and it was going to cost $19,750.00. He got part of it and has tried every way in the world to get me to get a loan and send the rest. He said today that we only had 7 days left to send the money. He has promised to pay everyting back when he gts to me on the 21st.. He told me the same spill of how his wife qnd son had got killed and that the other son was in the UK studying. He told me that his dad was poisoned by ans associate 1 yrs ago and his mother died 6 yrs ago and he has nobody else to help him. I am still talking to him to see waht I can find out. He is not aware that I have seen any of this.

Hi Sandra, just wanted to let you know that I have also been contacted by “Troy David Turner” and got all the same lines that you did. Yesterday he wanted me to send his attorney $525 to get his $300K check sent to my home address. What a jerk!!!!! We had been talking since the beginning of Dec and you are right he says all the right things and makes you feel like he is the one. I have pictures of him and a book that his father supposedly wrote for him. I believe in Karma and what goes around comes around. He will get his one day. I may not be around to see or hear about it, but that’s not the point.

Well Sandra & ladies the same thing has happened to me.. With Troy David Turner… same story as the jerk gave you all. This is crazy.. yet something told me to begin doing some research seemed to gd to be true..
Did he ask for any of your personal info? He wanted to know my full name, date of birt,h where I live etc..
Yet the sad thing is with the internet one can find out quite a bit about someone.. I believe info is out there and too easy to access sometimes.

I didn’t lose any money, but my heart is broken. Now I just pray God that real Troy Turner be alive. and I am afraid that these soulless monsters make money on the names of fallen soldiers. I can’t believe that Troy David Turner is still pulling the same prank as he tried last year! Yes he is smooth and says all the right things. Ladies if he sends you the address of his house in LA with pictures, google it. The houses are not the same!!!! Be careful anytime sometimes tells you,this is just between us don’t tell anyone!!!!
Thanks to this ^&*hole I have put a wall up and when I meet someone on the internet I do a lot of searching and digging, Make a fool of me once, shame on you, make a fool of me twice, same on me. Hi Trace, i’ve been contacted too by Fred Marculy, he’s actually waiting for me to go online now lol, i knew he was a scammer when i got my 1st message from him, all scammers say they’re widowed and have a kid, this Fred is stupid though as he says his wife was killed in 911, i’ve already checked and theres no woman with his surname there, just play them at there own game, let them think you believe them and then if they ask for anything let them know that you ain’t stupid and you know they’re a scammer

Thank you so much CJ. I’ve just been scammed by an Alex Tock/Robert Bill Haggard! Thanks to one of your blog posts, I found a posted letter with an exact paragraph, word for word denoting his (fake) background confirming my suspicions THANK GOD. He claimed to be a LTG stationed in Kabul a month from retirement. He claimed to be from Missouri, had a 15 year old son living with his friend Ebenezer in Ghana. I met him on SeniorPeopleMeet.com. If anyone has been scammed by the same person, please feel free to contact me at obimon123@yahoo.com and I will do my best to help you through this terrible violation.

I am one of the latest but haven’t fallen for giving money yet. He is relentless and doesn’t stop e-mailing or texting. I always wake up to something. I don’t even have to write to him now, he just shows up unannounced now. I am staying on and communicating and as he sends more stuff, I give all evidence to FBI. Loads of it now. I want to do some damage to them. Thank you for your devotion to make it a safer place for us. It is appreciated more than you know.

@ Tracy stop talking to this begger he has already tried to scam you delete and block him and what is the FBI going to do first they have to fine the scammer and Nigeria is a shit hole if Nigerians do not want to be stuck there why would the FBI want to go there unless large sums of money are lost you are wasting your time please scammers use the fbi often in their scams and they use the FBI to threaten people just yesterday I got a so called email from the FBI announcing that my email was selected in a million Dollar Lottery which I knew was a SCAM

I was contacted by a man that never gave me his title, although I asked. He claims he is in Afghanistan at Camp Eggers in Kabul. That he works with the children there – 25 under his care. His name is Kevin James. He claimed to be a widower, his parents were deceased and his 13 year old son lives in the netherlands with family. He claims to be retiring soon from the service after life participation. The pictures he sent me are of a man – First Sargent (if I read the stripes and insignia correctly). I’ve asked for his AKO email, and his MOS information. I’ve yet to get a reply back.
Has anyone heard of him? He has asked me to send a package to the kids for his birthday which is in 2 weeks. He told me he had to get an email address for me to contact a man that would get the package to him in the desert quicker than if he gave me his APO address. I told him that I had to have an APO address in order to send the package through usps. I’ve asked him to put himself in my shoes and prove who he is. The email address for the contact was emorgan10@gmail.com and the instructions were to send the package with the details of the contents with Kevin’s name and mine to Ghana — i noticed today that the “street” address says ACH-MKT. Sorry – those are banking terms I am familiar with – you aren’t getting a package anytime soon.
But yet, I still wonder if Kevin is real and I’m mistaken and drawing things out of proportion.

a gen john r allen contacted me on skype a few months ago , and then on facebook, all along i knew a general of such high rank could nt be doing such activity, his profile was suddenly inaccessible, and so i looked and found so many profile s in the same generals name. now i knew for sure that i was conversating with an impostor.. then, he created another profile page with another pictue of the general and friend requested me, again. i seached the web and found sites that dealt with identity scams on facebook….
what i do not understand is why the military authorities have not done anything to permanently remove such fake profiles…. i feel it can be achieved by the real john r allen pointing out the genuine from the fake! i am sure he would be happy by saving his image and name, and in so doing saving a lot of women from being scammed ! please help me understand, thanks.

Thanks CNN. I got wise about an hour ago. This man posing as Sergeant Perry Butterfield on Match.com first asked me to send him a laptop for Christmas…I said I couldn’t do that. Then he had a list including an xbox360,
Bible, Polo Body Spray, Ipod, etc. Because of the danger of his job in Afghanistan, I should send his package to
Accra Ghana to Prince Adongo, 60 Mango Tree Avenue, Accra ghana 00233. A courier would pick up the package and get it to Perry’s commander. Some clues…said it was hot there…not in Afghanistan in December;
asked me if I had ever written someone in the military…I said no; fell in love with me within 48 hours; couldn’t webcam with me because his computer was old; I webcamed with “him”and he asked me to show him what I was sending (packages) one by one. I questioned him about being scammed and he said that really hurt his feelings.

Im writing in regards to the women who have been talking to George Collins Lopez in the CNN program segment. I too have been talking to not one but three men all who say that they are the real George Collins Lopez. This has been going on since May of 2011. Its crazy to say the least I have three different stories from them as well. What is very distrubing is how the men in this pictures have no idea that their pictures are being used as well. I to fell for all the loving words and promises. I went to great lenghts to figure this out only to be left with more questions Im afraid. I too have pictures and lovely letters and certified checks as well, but the reality is this If it sounds to good to be true ladies then it is to good to be true! Also for the fakes and frauds I have taken this to a whole new level in that CNN wants to do another story and oh yes they have asked me to help them. because of the information and hours spent gathering things and quote being my own private eye too.So all I have left to say is this KEEP WATCHING CNN FOR A FOLLOW UP TO THIS STORY.
