A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
At the beginning of 2007, the infamous 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the presence of God in public schools was unconstitutional based on the mythical “separation of church and state” that doesn’t exist anywhere in our Constitution and is a liberal concoction in recent years.
“God should not be in public schools where he might unduly influence unsuspecting children without the consent of their parents,” wrote Judge Alfred T. Goodwin in the majority opinion.
The Supreme Court kicked God out of the schools in the 60′s and current laws and ruling are simply cleaning up the pieces. In the 80′s, the Equal Access Act of 1984 opened the door for student-initiated religious clubs in secondary schools which are being challenged now. So, I find it interesting that I haven’t anything about Wellesley, Massachusetts public middle school students taking a field trip to the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center – a controversial Saudi-funded mega-mosque run by the Muslim American Society of Boston. At the “Cultural Center”, students were taught how to pray to Allah, among other things. The students were separated by gender and the boys were asked to join the Muslim adults in their prayer. Several of the public school boys took part.
So, how does this happen? Is the schools system to blame? Partly. But, parents are also largely to blame for not making this a major public issue. I’m proud of the parents in Huntsville, AL who are continuing to take an active part in seeing the overbearing control school administrators are trying to wrest from parents. They are standing up and making their opinions known and making changes. My lawsuit against the school system there was largely responsible for the firing of the superintendent for publicizing her out of control policies, racism and public lies. Other communities are waking up as well.
It takes an active parental role to overcome the inherent institutionalization of liberal and godless policies in our school system. There was a long period of time – up to the 60s – where God was welcome in our schools. But, these days, people feign “offense” and force others to conform to THEIR ideals instead of just ignoring what they don’t agree with. Everyone is offended for other people and that is simply a baseless feeling.
The Islamization of America is here and taking root having already overtaken many weak European societies. When I say Islamization, I mean the extremist Sharia law loving type of Islam that is incompatible with modern, western society.
In a recently released report titled “Shariah – The Threat to America” a panel of national security experts who worked under Republican and Democratic presidents is urging the Obama administration to abandon its stance that Islam is not linked to terrorism, arguing that radical Muslims are using Islamic law to subvert the United States.
It’s the height of irony and hypocrisy to be silent on sending students to study Islam while banning schools from teaching Christianity! I know I’ve been focusing a lot on Islam lately, but I’m simply frustrated by the utter double standard in this country. We bend over backwards for a violent religion while bending over Christians to take it up the wazoo!

I am alarmed that this would even be considered let alone decided to be a field trip for a middle school student. I understand that Muslims as a whole are good people but something is wrong where there are “wolves” in the “flock of sheep”. It is difficult to know who is good and who is bad. I am totally opposed to home schooling my children but this sure as hell put a + on the side of home school.

I can take out religion completely of this: In essence, the field trip violated ideals of anti-segregation. The boys were allowed to learn about a process of the religion and the girls were not. This should bother the public educators.

Sooooo…exactly what parent signed the permission slip to let these kids go on this field trip???? Can we at least try to hold parents accountable for knowing what is going on in their schools?
CJ
Xstina, not sure if you didn’t read the whole thing, but I DID hold parents responsible!

It’s absolutely amazing that the school district, let alone the school, allowed for this to happen. One cannot say that they were naive to this because obviously they knew where they were taking the students, but perhaps they didn’t fully do their homework and that’s inexcusable. Let’s just turn a blind eye in the name of tolerance and seek to understand another’s culture? We are continuing to let our guard down and don’t even realize it – yet!

I find it strange that they would take God and Christianity out of public school systems, but they would teach children how to pray to Allah. I’m not against Muslims, I know some very nice ones, but I do think that instead of teaching kids to be a certain religion, that they should teach about all the religions. Teach them about God, teach them about Allah. They will decide themselves what they want to believe.
