The FBI has released its preliminary crime stats for the first half of 2010. As you know, 2010 saw an increase in the number of concealed carry permit holders, guns sold, and citizens armed. The United States has earned the distinction of being the “most armed” nation in the world with there being about 90 guns out of every 100 people in the country. So, naturally crime rates have risen in this country.

As you know, President Obama has tapped Andrew Traver to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE). He is the head of Chicago’s FBI field office (really? Chicago? Whoda thunk?) and has made it a goal of his to stigmatize “assault weapons.” In November 2009, NBC interviewed Traver and reported: “Traver says the power and randomness of the heavy caliber, military-style weapons make them so dangerous not only to people, but to police. They’re so powerful, body armor can’t withstand a hit, and they’re so difficult to control, their bullets often get sprayed beyond the intended targets, striking innocent victims even when they’re in their own homes.” I made a video to prove his point about this “randomness” and “uncontrollability.”

You be the judge. But, that’s neither here nor there. Judges have slapped down anti-gun laws across the country. Let’s take a look at the result of putting all these guns on the streets and handing out so many permits to carry arms.

Oh crap! So much for the argument that increased gun rights equal higher crime!
