I’m breaking my silence for just a brief moment. I really wanted to share this photo because I can’t stop staring at it. It evokes so many emotions in its simpleness, contrast, and vivid colors. Just a phenomenal photo. It was taken by Marine CPL Jad Sleiman of local Marines folding flags for Lance Cpl. Joe Jackson’s family during his funeral May 4 at Tahoma Cemetery. Jackson was killed April 24 by an improvised explosive device blast in Afghanistan. I hope you like it as much as I do.
