I’m a little more country than that
That’s the opening verse to Easton Corbin’s song, “I’m A Little More Country Than That.”
I live out in the country – WAY out in the country – and there’s no mistaking that. The benefits, of course, involve being able to shoot targets from my front porch, not having noisy neighbors, and naked lawn mowing (though I’ve never tried that). For awhile I though I had the most ghetto mailbox in the state of Texas. In order to keep it on the stand (a concrete-filled wheel well), we had to use a bunch of zip ties. We scrawled our address on the side in a barely legible manner.
But, the other day, Emily was picking up Anissa from athletic camp when she spotted someone a little more country than us!
We have a lot of work to do if we’re ever going to reach that level of country!
On another note, I hope to start writing a little more. I will be deployed in Afghanistan soon and will go back to trying to tell our story from a first person perspective instead of through the filters of others. So, I can’t say when that will be but just stay tuned.

LOL! That’s too funny Master Sergeant! I have to admit, while I enjoy the burbs, I sure do miss the country.

God Bless and may The Lord look over you in that far-off hellhole!

We used to have a Tupperware box nailed to a fencepost. Does that count?
